Signs

Event Directional Signs & Conference Wayfinding

Event directional signs tell attendees where to go: from the parking lot to registration, from the lobby to the main hall, and from session to session. A conference set usually mixes foam board signs on easels or sign stands indoors, corrugated plastic signs outdoors, and room and agenda boards beside each door. Send the venue layout, the list of signs and your artwork, and we proof every sign in one consistent design.

Planning wayfinding for a conference

Walk the route an attendee takes: car park or drop-off, entrance, registration, cloakroom, main hall, breakout rooms, coffee and lunch, restrooms, and the exit. Each decision point needs a sign that is visible before the person reaches it. That list becomes the order.

Keep the system consistent. Use one colour for directions and another for room names, the same arrow shape everywhere, and a type size large enough to read from 15 to 20 ft. A sign at 24 x 36 in on a floor stand reads well in a hotel corridor; a smaller 18 x 24 in board suits a tabletop or a door.

Room and session signs work best with the room name large and the session times smaller, or with a blank area so organisers can add late changes. Agenda boards near registration save repeated questions.

For outdoor arrows and parking signs use corrugated plastic or an A-frame, because foam board warps in rain. Give us the event date on the quote form and we confirm what can be produced in time.

Options for event directional signs

Indoor or outdoor

Foam board is light, flat and smooth for indoor easels. Corrugated plastic handles rain and wind outside with wire stakes, and PVC board survives repeated use across many events.

Changeable arrows

Print arrow signs in left, right and straight versions, or ask for a double-sided sign so one board works from both directions. Venues change room plans late; a few spares save the day.

Stands and easels

Floor sign stands, folding easels and A-frames hold signs at eye level. We quote them separately so you can reuse what you already have.

How ordering works: quote, digital proof, print, then delivery to the USA or Canada. Nothing prints until you approve the proof.

FAQ

Event Directional Signs: questions answered

Still unsure? Ask a printing specialist.

What material is best for conference signs?
Foam board for indoor signs on easels and stands, because it is light, flat and smooth. Corrugated plastic or PVC board for outdoor signs and for signs you want to reuse at several events.
How many directional signs does a conference need?
One for every point where an attendee must choose a direction, plus a sign at every room door and an agenda board near registration. Send us the venue map and we help you build the list.
Can signs be reused next year?
Yes, if you leave the date off. Print directions, room names and the event logo without the year, and order only the dated pieces again.
Do you supply easels and sign stands?
Yes. Easels, floor sign stands, wire stakes and A-frames are quoted as separate lines, so you only order the ones you need.
