Start with where it goes. Indoors, on a wall or stage, almost any vinyl banner works. Outdoors, think about wind: a solid vinyl banner on a fence acts like a sail, so for fences and open sites we recommend mesh, which lets air through, or wind slits in a vinyl banner. For a banner that is seen from both sides, choose a double-sided blockout material so the back does not show through.
Then size. A banner is read from a distance, so the letters matter more than the overall size: as a rule of thumb, every inch of letter height is readable from about ten feet away. Send us your message and the viewing distance and we suggest a size that reads.
Finally, the finishing: hems and grommets for rope or ties, pole pockets for a pole or a banner stand, and reinforced corners for banners that stay up for months.
