Where a counter fits in the booth

A counter gives a booth a working front edge: a place for a laptop or tablet demo, a lead scanner and a bowl of giveaways, with brochures and bags stored on the shelf inside. Unlike a table with a table cover, it is stand height, so staff and visitors talk at eye level.

Most portable counters are about 40 in high and 40 to 60 in wide. A fabric counter matches a tension fabric back wall and packs into a bag; a panel counter is sturdier for daily use at a registration or information desk.

Design the front panel with the logo and one line at eye level of a passer-by, and leave the lower part clean because legs and bags will cover it. If the counter stands in front of a printed back wall, use the same colours so the booth reads as one.
