What businesses here order
Iowa's economy rests on agriculture, from corn and soybeans to hogs and ethanol, plus insurance and finance in Des Moines and manufacturing in Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Waterloo. Universities in Ames and Iowa City add campus events. Print buyers order farm show booths, trade-show kits, county fair banners and political and civic event signs.
Farm shows and the state fair
Seed, equipment and livestock businesses exhibit at farm shows and spend August at the state fair and county fairs. They order canopy tents, feather flags, table covers, vinyl banners and posters. Fairground wind calls for weight bags and well-tied banners.
Campaign season and civic events
Iowa's early role in presidential politics brings rallies and town halls, and civic groups run events year-round. Organizers order step-and-repeat backdrops, podium wraps, yard signs, posters and handheld foam board signs. Insurers and manufacturers order banner stands and fabric displays for recruiting and industry shows.
